Emma Wei is a senior at St. Mary’s Academy. At school, she fosters a safe space for Asian Pacific Islander students by leading the Asian Pacific Islander Club. Emma is also a director for Women of Color in Action, an organization that works with school administration to spread the joy of diversity and make it a more open and knowledgeable place.

For Oregon Chinese Coalition, she is the secretary of the Jade Dance Team, working to spread the beauty of traditional Chinese dance and Chinese culture to Portland.

With her volunteer work, Emma enjoys seeing her impact on the community and strives to inspire others to do the same.

Oregon Chinese Coalition is proud to join the President of the United States in recognizing the volunteers who consistently take the time to make a difference in the lives of others. Therefore, it is a great honor to present the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) to Emma Wei.
