Nina Liu - Gold Award

Nina is a current sophomore at Westview High School. She loves art, music, science, and traditional Chinese dances. She is an active member of the Jade Dance Team, learning new Chinese dances, and sharing and celebrating our cultural heritage with our community. The dance team performs and promotes our culture at various cultural events in local schools and other community events. Nina also actively participates in the Youthlink teaching program and teaches math classes to local students during the summer weeks. Nina and her FTC robotics team promote STEM to the local communities in various outreach activities. Nina cooks and volunteers at the Clark Center by Transition Projects, which brings great joy to her by helping others even in such a small way. She is proud that her work makes an impact in her community.

Oregon Chinese Coalition is proud to join the President of the United States in recognizing the volunteers who consistently take the time to make a difference in the lives of others. Therefore, it is a great honor to present the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) to Nina Liu.
