Yueyue (Ziyue) is an active freshman attending LHS. She has volunteered countless hours at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of OR concerning OHSU patients’ families who do not have the time and energy to cook dinner for themselves. Yueyue and her friends thrive toward providing a warm dinner for these patients and families going through an uneasy time. The effect of volunteering is evident on these families’ faces as well as through thank you cards sent by Ronald MC House. Volunteering has always been an opportunity filled with heartwarming atmosphere and environment. In addition, Yueyue is actively thriving within PHFU club created by OCC. She performed within numerous festivals and events to fully unveil and unleash the power of Chinese culture and heritage through colorful depiction of traditional Chinese Hanfu. Yueyue has strong passion and spirit for volunteering in various groups and community work.

Oregon Chinese Coalition is proud to join the President of the United States in recognizing the volunteers who consistently take the time to make a difference in the lives of others. Therefore, it is a great honor to present the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) to Ziyue Wang.
