Claudia is currently a Sophomore at Sunset High School. She has been a member of the Jade Dance Team since July 2022 and is also taking the responsibility of a co-graphic-designer for the team and manages their instagram. She is very proud to see the impact of her work sharing the art of Chinese cultural dance with the community through social media. She also has volunteered at the Asian Food Pantry and Oregon Food Bank, and seeing the number of meals made after every shift always brings her joy. She is grateful to be able to volunteer at THPRD and keep making a difference for the environment. She prepared and cooked food for the members of the houseless community at The Clark Center as well.
She also regularly volunteers with the Red Cross Club at her school. After school she helps the club and contributes with fundraising, and clothing and necessity drives. She also is a board member of the Helping Hands Club, and regularly volunteers at various elementary schools. She loves seeing the smiley faces of little ones.
Oregon Chinese Coalition is proud to join the President of the United States in recognizing the volunteers who consistently take the time to make a difference in the lives of others. Therefore, it is a great honor to present the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) to Claudia Zhuge.
