After hearing the word “nature”, we likely think of lush green clearings, overgrown with moss and dotted with plants. This was the exact inspiration for my artwork this year, although there is one more addition: a human. The intention of this year’s artwork is to demonstrate the interactions of humans and animals, and how we live alongside each other. The girl is resting peacefully on the hammock, symbolising that nature is not for us to be afraid of, and the animals provide the image of peaceful interaction.
