Ashley, a freshman at BASE, finds the most fulfillment by serving her community. Her deep passion for helping the people in her community has driven her to continue making a difference and create meaningful social impact through every opportunity she encounters. As a BASE Event Leader, she spends a lot of time helping the principal and school staffs. As well as ambassadors, to set up the events, welcome and greet parents and students during the open house and other community gatherings. Ashley is also an assistant for HOSA Blood Drive, which helps the leaders make posters, handing out paper, etc, and also taking on leadership responsibilities to ensure that each event happening is a success. Beyond school, her commitment to service through her involvement with the Oregon Chinese Coalition (OCC). She has assisted volunteers through various activities, such as the winter drive, health fair, etc. In the future, Ashley will continue to build her leadership and make service the foundation upon which every endeavor is built, guiding her towards a future of compassion, collaboration, and community impact.

Oregon Chinese Coalition is proud to recognize the volunteers who consistently take the time to make a difference in the lives of others. Therefore, it is a great honor to present the Community Volunteer Service Award (CVSA) to Ashley Guo.
