Irene is a 7th grader at Tumwater Middle School. She is a member of Overcharged, a community based FTC team in Portland, Oregon. Through FTC she spreads and inspires STEM to kids of all ages in different outreaches such as STEM like a Girl.

Irene also enjoys spreading the arts. As a co-founder of Portland Harmonics, the OCC Choir Group, she has sung at multiple events. Irene often plays the piano at retirement homes with the Beats of Bethany as well. Being able to bring happiness to people is an amazing experience, and she hopes to continue to bring joy to others.

Oregon Chinese Coalition is proud to recognize the volunteers who consistently take the time to make a difference in the lives of others. Therefore, it is a great honor to present the Community Volunteer Service Award (CVSA) to Irene Wang.
