Jayden is at Westview high school, he actively participates in a FTC robotics team and volunteers in many STEAM events such as setting up venues for First Lego League and for First Tech Challenge. Providing opportunities for diverse representation in robotics and STEAM. He also played a role as a mentor for his local Lego robotics team. Outside of robotics he often volunteers to support the local Beaverton Schools helping fundraise for educational activities. Ever since middle school he has enjoyed helping those in need by cooking at the Bethany Presbyterian Church for homeless veterans in the Doreen’s Place.

Oregon Chinese Coalition is proud to recognize the volunteers who consistently take the time to make a difference in the lives of others. Therefore, it is a great honor to present the Community Volunteer Service Award (CVSA) to Jayden Mei.
