Willamette Chinese School 华兰中文学校
The Willamette Chinese School (WCS) is a non-profit organization established in 2000. It is the largest Chinese language and culture program in the Corvallis-Albany-Philomath area in Oregon.
The WCS strives to (i) serve as the Chinese language learning center for children and adults, (ii) foster an active local Chinese community, (iii) strengthen the friendship between the Chinese community and the local societies, and (iv) enhance the local culture diversity.
The WCS fulfills these goals by offering Chinese language classes at different levels (from Kindergarten through 8th grade) every Friday from 7-9pm, organizing cultural activities to celebrate Chinese holidays, contributing to the China Night organized by Oregon State University’s Chinese Association, and participating in the annual Oregon Asian Celebration sponsored by the Eugene/Springfield Asian Council.
