Vancouver: Benjamin Franklin Elementary School
The Mandarin Language Learning Program is an academically challenging and enriching program for developing linguistic proficiency in Mandarin and English. Students enter the program in kindergarten and continue through fifth grade at Ben Franklin Elementary School. Mandarin language instruction continues with a focus on literacy at Jason Lee Middle School. At the high school level, students can continue their Mandarin learning at Columbia River High School.
Kindergarten instruction: 90% Mandarin : 10% English
Upper Grades： 50% Mandarin : 50% English
Students learn to speak, read and write in both languages by 5th grade.
