Parking: Please park in the west side of the school building (in front of school main entrance), try not to park on the north side which is lodge’s property.

Community Engagement and Volunteering (@ Cafeteria):

Discuss the impact of youth engagement in community service.
Share success stories of community projects led by youth.
Explore the challenges and benefits of maintaining cultural identity.
Discuss ways to promote diversity and inclusion within the community.

Host 2: Eaton Wen, Sophomore at Virginia Tech, Naval ROTC, majoring in civil engineering.
Host 3: Matthew Lei at California Institute of the Arts, majoring in animation design.

College Life: from ‘Small Fish in Big Pond’ to ‘Big Fish in Small Pond’ (@ Room 7):

Discuss the role of technology in youth lives.
Share insights on responsible social media usage.
Host 1: Rupert Li, Senior at MIT, majoring in mathematics, 2024 Marshall Scholar
Host 2: Alan Ma, Freshman at Stanford University, Organizer of Youth Environmental Summit with TRNWR
Host 3: Natalie Wang, Senior at John Hopkins Univ, majoring in Neuroscience, etc

Youth Leadership Development (@ Room 9):

Share experiences and challenges in leadership roles.
Discuss opportunities for youth leadership development.
Host 1: Danica Leung, Majoring in Political Science at Emory University
Host 2: Alvin Liu, Majoring in Political Science at University of Southern California
Host 3: Alisha Zhao, Majored in Political Science and Sociology at Stanford, now at Compass Family Services, San Francisco

The Breakout sessions will be finalized based on the availability of hosts

Panel Discussions 3pm-4pm

You can choose to either be apart of the Parent Panel or the Youth Panel (they will be happening simultaneously). Organizations Representatives are a part of the Youth Panel, so speakers may be both a Youth Panel Speaker and Organization Representative.

If you would like to be a speaker or presenter at the event, please register using this form by Saturday, December 23rd (12/23/2023) at 11:00AM.

Parent Panel Speaker (@ Cafeteria):

Parent panel speakers are youth who will answer questions about mental health to foster conversation and communication between adults and youth.

  • High school upperclassmen and college speakers (4-6 speakers): Alvin Liu, Sara Shao, and OCC Youth Council members
  • Answering parents’ questions on teen mental health (eg. burnout, academic pressure, social anxiety, etc.)

Youth Panel Speaker (@ Room 9):

Middle and high school students will have the opportunity to ask high school upperclassmen, college, and post-college speakers questions.

  • We are looking for high school upperclassmen, college, and post-college speakers: Rupert Li, Megan Tian, and Jerry Zhang
  • You will sit in the front and answer any questions students may have about high school, extracurricular activities, college applications, college, post-college, etc.
