华人与乌克兰社区联合画展开幕

作为社区画展，我们的目标是打造一个开放的平台，让喜欢绘画的社区成员聚在一起，分享他们的作品和人生经历。无论是专业画家、业余爱好者、学生还是家庭主妇，我们都欢迎他们的参与，让他们在艺术领域找到一个完整的社区。今年，我们继续秉承这个原则。

最近参加了乌克兰社区的一个活动，了解到一些难民中有专业画家，于是我们决定今年与乌克兰社区共同举办画展。这是乌克兰社区第一次将画家聚在一起，因此他们非常重视此次机会。他们邀请了知名画家和作为难民的画家们一起参展。他们的想法与我们非常一致，希望将此机会开放给整个社区。15岁的女孩儿的作品引人注目，和去年赢得全国金奖的Jenny Chen的作品摆放在一起。孩子们和成年人的作品在展厅中共存，非常和谐、完美。

昨天，我们举办了一场别开生面的开幕式。来自两个社区的画家和朋友们聚集在中国城的画展现场，相互认识，欣赏各自的作品。期间，有人与乌克兰前线的士兵们进行了视频连线，大家为他们祈祷，感谢他们为自由和平而战。最后，来自乌克兰社区的两对儿歌手和来自Winnie Dance Studio的两位小舞蹈家为大家表演了精彩的节目。

画展对公众开放时间为每周四至周日中午12点至下午4点。我们欢迎社区在其他时间利用这个空间，尤其是小的团体活动。

In the last two years, we have been together, for the freedom of Ukrainian people, for the justice of this world, and for the refugees settled in this city. We have demonstrated our unity and solidarity by participating in rallies, fundraising for medical equipment, collecting furniture for refugees, and providing the Lan Su Chinese Garden as a gathering place for the Ukrainian community.

The joint art exhibition that we are opening today is a testament to the commitment between the Chinese American and Ukrainian communities to work together and support each other. As we come together to appreciate the beauty of our cultures, let us also remember the important work that we have done and will continue to do together.
