访问《俄勒冈中文周刊》的两位参与者

今天在Youth Lens两位高中生采访了Dick Lee和陈晓慧，他们的名字对于新移民来说应该是相当的陌生，但是在当地华人社区曾经撑起过即属于他们自己也属于整个社区的一片蓝天。他们就是社区中的那么一些人，愿意做些事情将大家聚集在一起，即使以牺牲自己的日常生活为代价。每周一期，连续 140 多星期出版《俄勒冈中文周刊》，对于一个同时要养家糊口的人来说，是一个不小的承诺。今天下午Brian和Meilan很荣幸有机会采访了他们，周刊出版期间社区发生的事儿，无论大小，对于口述历史项目，都是极为珍贵的素材。两位前辈对年轻一代的成熟和干练大加赞许，我们一致认为华人作为一个整体会在未来一两代人身上发生巨大的变化，非常值得期待。这也是为什么我们愿意不遣余力为孩子们提供深入了解社区的机会。

Dick Lee and Xiaohui Chen are among those in the community who were willing to do something to bring people together even at expense of their own everyday life. One issue each week and for 140+ consecutive weeks for publishing Oregon Chinese Weekly was not a small commitment for someone who had to raise families at the same time. Brian and Meilan from OCC Youth Lens were honored to have the opportunity to interview them at PCC SE Campus this afternoon.
