Thanks to the generous financial support from Multnomah County, a dedicated group of high school students including Noah Von Dem Bruch, Lily Wang, Fiona Wang, Stella Wang, Sophia Hu, Erika Leung, Afamu Zhang, and Callie Chu, Led by Katie Jin and Leon Liu, embarked on a remarkable project to create murals in Chinatown. These murals beautifully showcase the rich heritage and vibrant culture of the Chinese American community. Their hope was to contribute to the transformation of Chinatown into a cultural destination by incorporating more cultural elements. When you visit Lan Su Chinese Garden, you’ll easily spot these captivating murals, each telling a unique story.
