Today, Chief Lovell, Mr. Robert King, Chief of Staff, Officer Natasha Haunsperger, and two victim advocates from the Portland Police Bureau visited a senior apartment downtown and engaged in a highly constructive dialogue with Chinese American seniors regarding their safety concerns following recent brutal attacks on residents. Chief Lovell pledged to enhance police visibility in the area. OCC has distributed safety whistles bearing the community hotline number and unique IDs to provide better support in their native language, along with volunteers from their community.
